Csomor, Major win Ironman Arizona on an epic day

 April 13, 2008 — The 2008 running of Ironman Arizona will be one for the record books. The heat, the wind, the close finishes and ultimately the Hungarian domination by two athletes hailing from the same small town, made for a memorable day in Tempe. Former race winner Michellie Jones said it best and said it flatly: “That was brutal out there. Anyone who finishes this race today is a champion.” Ultimately it would be a pair of pros from Hungary—Erica Csomor and Jozsef Major—who would prevail on a brutally hot and windy day.
