Pre St. Paul Winter Carnival Frozen Half Marathon

Listening to KW “good morning”…

So I had a quick swim at the YMCA, quick hot tub, and tonight we celebrate Chelle’s 26th birthday (no she doesn’t know where we’re going, maybe I’ll write a review). Tomorrow morning I pick Aaron up at 7:45 am to head across the river to good old Saint Paul. For those that live far away, St. Paul is old school, old town, not nearly as cool as Minneapolis, but it does have its charms and one of them is this crazy Winter Carnival which is the oldest one in the nation and started back in 1886 before trithalons were even a dream. The Frozen Half Marathon is not until 9am which is nice since most of the races I do make you wake up at 4:30 or 5am. We will see how we do, at this point we are both thinking of going out hard and if we blow up that is ok. We normally see some decent top 25 times out of local triathletes – last year Dan Cohen (SCS coach) was 15th , Tony Schiller (all-american and AG champ) was 17th, and Cathy Lee (2x Kona) was 8th.

It will probably be around 10 degrees and the course is not that nice as it ends on an uphill (from what I hear) – if you see a dude with a beard and short short American Flag shorts over tights that will be me, so stop and say hi!

    Hey Hector,

Could it be r Normans?:) It’s on the ‘what I’m doing now’ sidebar. I really like that feature, I may have to steal it:) (I take it it’s based off a calandar you have set up?) Good seeing you the other day; good luck in Arizona, and keep up the blogging and videos, I really enjoy it!
