2008 Lisbon ETU Triathlon European Championship Results, Men:

“Today’s race marked the first since the world championships in 2006 that Gomez failed to make the podium, an impressive streak that stretched 16 races.”

While French Frederic Belaubre, the 2005 and 2006 Champion, took gold at the 2008 Lisbon ETU Triathlon European Championship, the surprise was Javier Gomez falling off the podium for the first time in sixteen races. Then again, Javier must be thinking about Beijing more than Lisbon, so it’s too early to get too worried.
